Our Camping Trip

It took quite a while to get our fire going. Maybe that had something to do with our wet logs and the wet firepit. We finally coaxed a flame from our fodder and decided to document the event. Bryce is warming his toes by our amazing fire.

Fishing at Trout Lake

Friday morning we woke up early, rolled out of our tent and went fishing. (We were actually up before the fish were!) Fortunately, the fish woke up and started biting.

This is my "artsy" shot of trout lake. The view was incredible! We had a wonderful morning and managed to catch three fish in the few hours we were out.

Here's Bryce with two of our three fish. We would have had four, but my first fish got away from me (wiley little thing!) Now our little fishies are waiting in the freezer for us to eat them. I'm thinking basil stuffed trout.... Yum!

Hiking at Alta Lakes

I may not have been that successful in centering us in this picture. But, here was are with Alta Lakes in the background. We hiked up to this spot and at 11 thousand feet I was really huffing and puffing. Fortunately, Bryce, the little one and I made it up there safely. I told Bryce that next time we hike he can carry the baby on his back rather than me carrying him 0n (in) my front!

After successfully finishing our hike Bryce decided to run back up for exercise (and to look for the long-sleeved shirt I had dropped). He raced the thunderstorm down the mountain and was just rounding the last turn when a HUGE burst of thunder sounded overhead.

Here's Bryce (hiding in the shadows) backing up his big work truck. Saturday after camping all weekend I dropped him off at work and then came back to meet him for lunch. This picture was taken after lunch, I wanted to get him "in action"!

Bryce is standing behind his work truck. The back of the truck has a lawn mower and a fertilizer (thing) in it- all of the things he needs to keep Mountain Village beautiful.

Here's Bryce with his "game face" on getting ready for his second-ever 5k run. After much training he was ready to run 3, 8 minute miles. We'll see how he did...



The dreaded starting line! Yes, everyone is still wandering around. The race started a few minutes behind schedule. Hey, give them a break, it was the FIRST ANNUAL run, they'll get the kinks worked out by next year.



This extraordinary picture is of Bryce at his one-mile-mark. I clocked him at a 7-minute-mile. Gooooo Bryce!

Here we are in my parents' dining room.

"Baby Pictures" (sort of)

My Brother has lovingly nicknamed the baby "Baby Stu". He frequently calls to checkon "Baby Stu" and sometimes remembers to ask how I'm doing! All of the sudden "we've" had a growth spurt and my too big for me pants are suddenly fitting well (maybe too well). Mom bought me this skirt, it's very EXPANDABLE not to mention quite comfortable. Thursday we have another doctor's appointment, so maybe by the end of the week we can post whether the prediction is a boy or girl.
