Mesa Verde (sorry, this set isn't in chronological order)

Here we are at Mesa Verde. At the beginning of the summer we had a little more time for tourist activities. The weather was glorious and we enjoyed the scenery.

Here is one of the postcard views we saw. This was taken at Balcony House.

Here is the sightseeing adventure crew awaiting the "okay" to begin our excusion into balcony house. (left to right) Bryce, Mama Clark, Amy Carleston, Trena Jo and (backrow) the one-day-wonder, Mark.

Trena Jo "walking" through a very small hole. Apparently, small entryways kept enemies out of their homes. Fortunately, this was pre-Walmart. There's no way you'd get 15 bags of groceries through there.

This is a shot of our adorable tourguide. We liked her and her southern (Lousiana?) accent.

More views of our apartment

Hmm... what could this be? Sorry about the terrible picture. This is the hall (guest) bathroom.
An excellent view of the NURSERY!!! The best news of all... the management said we could paint! Hallelujah! I'm thinking butter yellow...
Bryce peering out the master bedroom window.

Here's the front of our adorable little home. There I am in the glass.

Our Memphis Apartment

From the kitchen you walk into our living room (complete with our fireplace). If you walk toward the window and turn right you'll be at our front door.
Our utility closet is home to our very own...WASHER AND DRYER!
Here is out little kitchen. You are looking at the door to the utility closet.
This is the outside view of our apartment. How cute is it?? It is a single-story "patio home". Basically, it is an apartment that thinks its a tiny house. It's perfect!

The Memphis Red Birds baseball game

Check out this field! Monday night after apartment hunting all day we decided to relax at the Memphis Red Birds baseball game. The team is Triple A (one step down from the "big leagues") and their field is incredible. We had a blast!
Happy Bryce LOVES baseball games!
Bryce [nearly] knocked me down to get this shirt. It is a Red Birds shirt created by the owners of Lenny's Subs and Sandwhich shop (Memphis) and shot out of a sub-sandwhich looking potato launcher thing (shown below).
I am devestated that this picture turned out so poorly. But, if you could see it better you would see a huge sub sandwhich shooting shirts into the crowd. They must have see me taking their picture b/c they shot one right at us. (actually we got two- but we won't tell...)

Our dinner cruise on the Arkansas Queen (June 17)

Here's Bryce in front of the ramp that led down to the Arkansas Queen. He may appear to be smiling at the camera, but in reality he's imagining how the prime rib, roast turkey, creole shrimp, etc. are going to taste once we finally set sail!
Me outside of the Arkansas Queen moments before the rain started pounding us again.
The hat and then taking a picture of the hat were both Bryce's idea. I don't know why I'm posting this- try not to look at it too closely. Yikes!

Here's Captain Bryce decked out and read to drive our riverboat. We arrived a little early and had plenty of time to wander around their gift shop. It was raining CATS AND DOGS outside, so we opted to stay inside and take silly pictures. This bridge had a train parked on it for the longest time, we were getting a little nervous that it wasn't ever going to move and we were going to have to spend our dinner "cruise" floating in circles. Fortunately it did move and I took a ridiculous number of pictures of us going under it.

The Beginning... Our trip to Memphis via Little Rock

This seems like a lovely picture to start off with. We took this picture on our dinner cruise aboard the Arkansas River Queen. After this we passed under a huge moving bridge and then ate prime rib and roast turkey (along with other good things) and finished off the evening watching the Arkansas landscape roll by. It was spectacular!

Our pledge!

Hello Family and Friends!
Now that we have joined the 21st century (and have a digital camera) we have decided that it is time to start sharing our pictures with the ones we love. We recently returned from Tennessee and were able to find an apartment we absolutely loved and where we will be living this fall. In an attempt to stay in touch with everyone and to keep "y'all" updated, I have committed myself to keeping this site current with info and pictures. You're welcome to call and demand proof of our existance if this goes to long without an update.
We love you all!
