Just Like Daddy

The best part of this picture is that we didn't pose it! Bryce was reading to Carter when I walked back in and noticed that Carter had perfectly copied his daddy. Too cute to not share!

The "Talking" Boy

Last night Papa Juan called to hear some Carter stories. At first we had to coax Carter a little bit, but once he decided that Papa would listen to anything he had to say, he talked his ear off for about 10 minutes. Short stories, long stories, happy stories, sad stories...

Papa got the whole she-bang!

Carter was "talking" to me while I was making the bed. I decided that he must have been asking me to take his picture. I happily complied with his wishes.

Carter can now reach out for the various toys on his saucer. He's a VERY wise baby!

Carter's new toy

A friend in Bryce's class gave us this fun toy for Carter. Here he is practicing being a big boy! The saucer is still a little big for him, he can't really reach the toys yet.

Here's Carter practicing his "bounce". He can't really push off the bottom yet, but he discovered that if he wiggles he can get it to bounce. He seemed pretty pleased with himself!

Saturday Morning

I woke up early for a service project at the Bishop's, Bryce and Carter took advantage of the chance to catch a few extra "z's". They were so cute I had to take a picture before I ran out the door!

Snow in Memphis!

Thursday had a little skiff of snow, not enough to cancel classes...

Thursday morning Bryce was studying feverishly while waiting for his ride, he had hoped school would be cancelled, but no such luck...

Hooray! Snow fell Thursday night and we woke up to almost an inch on Friday morning. No School! Bryce hung out with Carter and I made cinnamon rolls- great morning!!!

Two Babies

I am certain that I now know why we have a nine month gestastion- one person cannot possibly take care of two infants! Thursday I watched our friends' little girl, Lydia, while her mom was at an appointment. Whew!

Lydia is 6 months old and can now sit up on her own. Carter wanted to as well, but he needed some extra help.

Stylin' boy

Carter heard he had a fan club and wanted to show Gramma Tanner how cute and stylish he is. So, here's our little guy sitting on daddy's study chair giving love to the camera.

"Gramma, this one's for you!"

Again, here's our little GQ boy

I took too long taking pictures. He got bored, yawned a few times and fell asleep in my lap. I picked him up and tucked him into our bed on Bryce's pillow. He's still there, but he did manage to crack his eye open for a few seconds when Bryce came home from school.
