Nashville Half Marathon

Carter and I were able to wait on this corner until we saw Bryce run by. We were just under a 1/2 mile from the finish line so we cheered for all of the runners that passed us. I had Carter in our front pack and when the runners would pass us he would wildly wave his little arms and "run" with his little legs. Several runners even came out of the 13 mile induced fog to smile and wave back. He was once again, the hit of the show!

There goes Bryce!

Bryce had just passed us in this picture. He's wearing black shorts, white shirt and is just behind the other man in the same outfit. Someone cut in front of him at mile 10 causing him to tweak his knee. Needless to say, by mile 13 he was a hurting unit!

Go Daddy!

The race ended at LG Field and there were people (smelly people) EVERYWHERE! Fortunately, they had an area set up with all of the letters of the alphabet. We decided that we would all meet under the "T" for Tanner!

Bryce managed to shave 7 minutes off of his previous half marathon time. Here he is in all of his fancy new running duds and his medal. Carter was happy to see his daddy, but thought maybe he was a bit smelly!

Here is Bryce with Karla's friend Jen who also came to run the half marathon. She will be running the full Ogden marathon next month. Glutton for punishment?? GO GIRL!
